The Congo Rainforest has many different species of plants. There are approximately 10, 000 species of tropical plants in the Congo Basin and 30 percent are unique to the region. The hot, humid climate in the world’s tropical regions provide ideal conditions for plant life. However, there is a lot of competition for sunlight and nutrients. Plants have to adapt to find their place in the ecosystem.

Some of which include:
- Oil Palm Tree- this tree is used to make many commercial products such as: chocolate, candles, and soap.
- Mahogany Tree- this tree is abundant in the Congo and is used to make furniture, wood flooring and boats.
- Passion Flower - this is one of the most unique flowers in the rainforest. It has rings of nectar producing parts that no other flowers produce. Passion-flower plants are vines which run in the understory of the rainforest where their pollinators live.
- Acai Palm Tree - is a palm tree who produces edible tasty fruits which are all of amino acids, antioxidants and essential omegas. These fruits are used in energy drinks, weight loss and lowering cholesterol products.
- Carnauba Wax Tree- also known as the "Tree of Life" because of its many uses. Its used in car and board wax, lipstick, soap ect.
- Corpse Flower - also known as the Amorphophallus titanium can over 3 meters in height. Its name comes from its odor which has been described as a body rotting.
